Consultations are required to make an appointment which can be scheduled below.

Walk in or appointment?

When you’re ready to get a tattoo or permanent makeup procedure, there’s some things to know before you get started so you’re fully prepared for the process. First, you should know there are two major appointment types. “Walk-in” and “appointment”.

A “walk-in” is as simple as it sounds. It is when you physically walk into our studio, briefly consult with an artist about your idea, get a price quote, and both of you are available to get the tattoo or procedure at that time. This can also be done by calling ahead, speaking with an artist, and agreeing on a time for later that same day. This is a first come-first served basis. No appointment time is guaranteed without a formal consultation and deposit. These are typically smaller and more simple designs. Larger, more custom drawing, or complicated work will likely be scheduled for an appointment. Walk ins cannot be scheduled for a future time.

“Appointments” are set on a date in the future, usually with a consultation, and with a formal deposit put down along with deposit paperwork. This is the usual and will very likely how you will book with us.
We try our best to accommodate walk ins. However, good artists are in high demand, which means we book up very quickly. It is standard in the industry to have artists book out as far as 1-6 months in advance depending on their skill level and experience. But trust me, it is worth the wait!

here is what to expect for your tattoo process

1) Consultation

Whether you do a “walk-in” or make an appointment, your consultation is your first stop to your tattoo journey. You definitely want to have some sort of general idea of what it is your looking for. If you don’t know everything, that’s okay! That’s why we are here. This is a time to sit down with an artist, discuss the idea, get feedback from the artist on size, placement suggestions, and get a formal price quote. There is no pressure to get the tattoo, and this is free. This can be scheduled online or in person.

2) The Design

Oh how times have changed for tattoo designs! It’s no longer a “pick something off the wall” type deal anymore. Here, we are custom artists. Creating pieces for you that don’t exist yet. It is typical at your consultation for you to have a few reference photos for the artist. These can be other tattoos, drawings, or images from research. These help us understand your vision. However, this is really important. We do not do an exact tattoo or design as someone else (Except intentionally matching or with permission). We are creating artwork for you and your body, to make it unique and special for you. This also means the artist is taking many hours of their time to draw your tattoo design. You will not typically see your tattoo design until the day of the appointment. This is an industry standard to protect the artists work. We understand this can be scary, but the consultation is helpful in easing the process so we nail the drawing right from the start. Changes and adjustments can be easily made the day of the appointment.

3) Tattoo Day

It’s the day of your appointment. You ate a good hearty breakfast, slept great, freshly showered and clear headed! When you come in, with your government issued ID, you will take your phone out to scan a QR code to fill out our waiver. This can also be done online the day of your appointment here. Your artist shows and discusses your tattoo design, size and placement. They then make a stencil, which is a non-permanent image of your design. They will clean and shave your desired placement and then lay the stencil. This you want to check out from every angle, and check spelling/grammar (we are not responsible for misspelled or misinterpreted work). Once all is good, your artist will seat you in the best position possible for both you and the artist. Then the work begins! Usually, you sit back, relax, and chat with the artist or you can zone out with your music, or being a tablet to read or watch your shows (with exceptions in some placements). Mild pain and discomfort is expected, but it’s more of an annoyance that dissipates more over time. Some breaks are natural for most appointments, but the better you sit, the faster and better your tattoo experience will be. Some artists use topical numbing/ products to help with discomfort (with restrictions).

4) Afterward

Once your tattoo is completed, you go to the mirror and are super pumped you made it through and are loving your new tattoo! Your artist will likely take some pictures and videos for social media content. They will clean your tattoo as well as safely bandage your piece and provide you some aftercare instructions. There is also an aftercare page here with very specific instructions in case you forget due to all the excitement! You head to the front and your artist charges you (cash or card) on the price previously discussed. If you loved your artist and your experience, tips are always greatly appreciated and always go straight to the artist. Show it off to your friends, post, tag and share us! Leave us a review, and take good care of your new tattoo!
