Welcome to Foxwood Tattoo Collective

Also known as, your new tattoo home. Here at Foxwood, we aim to raise a new standard of excellence and elevation in tattooing. We believe receiving a tattoo or body adornment is more than a procedure, it’s an experience. An experience between the client and artist that should be handled with respect for one another, care for the final outcome, and an expectation of creating a custom piece that is more than a piece of artwork. We love establishing life-lasting relationships with our clients, generating trust, consistency, and love within our space. Here, we have created an atmosphere of ensuring our clients feel safe, protected, accepted, and important. Getting these procedures can be new, scary, and intimidating. We know how it feels, because we have been there. This is why we set out to change the perspective of the typical tattoo experience. We came together collectively to set the new expectation of the industry. You’ll be greeted with smiles and excitement. You will witness and experience genuine love within our space, along with goofing off or random burst outs of song. You may have some of the best and most interesting conversations of your life. You may just kick back, relax, and enjoy the peace. We quote movies, dance at random, and definitely are a group of artsy folks who love what we do. Your tattoo or procedure will have our complete undivided attention though, with expertise and the greatest care for the outcome and longevity of your piece. Basically, we really take this seriously and only wanna work with like minded folk, that also wanna have a great time doing it. You will see a team in collaboration, not competition, all working toward our goal to ensure the best possible experience and artwork for you. And not just once, hopefully each time you are here. Like being with relatives or old friends, laughing and sharing our stories together, no matter how much time passes. To us, you are family.

Where did the name Foxwood come from?

Hey! Casey Hart here, owner, founder, operator, and artist of Foxwood Tattoo Collective. A little backstory on the name.
I was raised in Dallas, Texas with my younger sister, mother and father. Unfortunately, my mother and father were into a very dangerous life of drugs, violence, crime, and gangs. When I was only nine years old, Child’s Protective Services arrived and took my sister and I into foster care where we were placed in southern Texas for seven months. While there, my grandparents, who resided in Maryland, worked tirelessly to adopt my sister and I and become legal guardians. In 2003, we were moved to Maryland to live with my grandparents. After moving in, I realized my grandmother is viciously obsessed with foxes. They were all over our house in figurines, statues, stuffed animals, paintings you name it. To me, foxes were a symbol of home, warmth, comfort, and safety. Anytime I see foxes, I think of my grandmother. And the home she and my grandfather provided me when they had no obligation to do so. The "Wood", is quite simple, as it is my grandparents last name. When we were adopted, we had the option to take the family last name. At the time as a young kid, I chose not to and it made since at the time. But now, as a adult, I would like to chose it this time, for them. This entire business and establishment is dedicated to my grandparents. For their selflessness, dedication, and undying love. With this name, I hope to create this space that is warm, safe, and comfortable.

we welcome all kinds of clients including BIPOC and LGBTQ+
